I've mentioned my fondness for candy bar dessert recipes before. And here's another one for you to add to your "to-try" list: Snicker's Bar Tarts... the link is not working, but this should work (cut/paste the link below... clicking won't work)... pesky blogger!!

See that oozing puddle of chocolate ganache on top??? That sits afloat a filling of peanut butter cheesecake (with a chunk of snickers sneakily hidden inside too!) Since the recipe is from Pillsbury, it's a quick and easy dessert. The refrigerated pie crusts are used as the base. I don't see any reason at all to use your best homemade crust since the flavor isn't focused on the crust in this recipe. But have-at-it if you wish to do it all from scratch.
I do suggest that you give this recipe a shot. They're tasty little bite-sized (decadent) treats.

ReplyDeleteSnickers are my brother and I's favorite confection, with Reese's Peanut Butter Cups :) Naturally these look really good, haha! I think I had a full-size Snickers bar this year. Or maybe 6 bite-size ones in one sitting, sigh :P

ReplyDeleteIngredients
* 250 grams marie biscuits
* 1 cup condensed milk
* 3 tablespoons strawberry 'nesquik'
* 2 cups desicated coconut
* 1/3 cup hot water
* 1 tablespoon strawberry jam
* 2-3 drops pink food dye
Instructions
Crush biscuits in bowl, melt jam in hot water, mix all ingredients into biscuit crumbs (save 1 cup of coconut for rolling the balls in), Roll in to tablespoon sized balls, Roll balls in extra coconut.( chill if balls are not firm enough).
I could eat this for breakfast with my coffee!
