Glazed Strawberry- Lemon Streusel Muffins

We're muffin - lovers around here. They're nice to have around for breakfast or snacking, so I usually make them once a week or so. My little guy beams with happiness when he sees me baking up a new batch... always a new recipe... he begs to be the first taste- tester. This week: Glazed Strawberry- Lemon Streusel Muffins.

These muffins are filled with freshly chopped sweet strawberries in a cinnamony-lemony batter.
A lemon-streusel bakes into the top of the muffin.

And a lemony glaze is drizzled onto the warm muffins, allowing it to soak in and create a delicious coating.


Success! A yummy tasting muffin, we had these for breakfast for a few days. They kept well in a covered tupperware, and they stayed moist and fresh.

'Tis the season to utilize berries for baking... I'm beginning to see some really nice blueberries, raspberries, blackberries and, of course, strawberries. If you haven't stopped by Mike's Table today, he's got a wonderful round-up of strawberry recipes for his Strawberry Seduction event.

    Oh wow, these look like the perfect way to start my day! They have fruit, therefore they are healthy!

    You know my stance on strawberries, lol! Those muffins look sinfully delicious and the glaze sounds like just the thing to bring it all together--the sweet, the tart, etc. I could certainly see why muffin-time is always a happy time.

    Yum! I'm don't make muffins often but seeing those it makes me wish I did! They look really good. I'll have to peruse your site for more muffin recipes - I bet my boys would love them, too.

    Just beautiful! I'm gonna make these with some blackberries I have that are headed south if I don't use them soon! I think they'll work, don't you?

    Recipe Girl, I bought three quarts of strawberries at the farmers' market this weekend and was just thinking this morning what i was going to do with them all.

    my in-laws are coming into town friday. i think i'll treat them to these muffins. they look amazing!

    These look like amazing muffins. I love blueberry muffins, but I've never tried putting strawberries in them. As soon as strawberries come in season around here I'll have to make these.
